An Invitation (poem)
Updated: Mar 30, 2020
You are like a spring.
Others flock around you.
They drink, but most times
only taste themselves.
I don't want your just water,
though I thirst.
I want to hover over you
peer past my reflection
and look down into you.
To the bottom if there is one.
Water has so many uses:
Birds take baths, messages float in bottles,
electricity is carried,
to name just a few.
The earth is not flat and
water is everywhere.
